Dr. Terry joined forces with Dr. Desai in 2014, co-founding The Surgicalist Group as it currently exists today.  Serving as Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Terry focuses on building successful surgicalist practices across the United States. In addition to geographic expansion, Dr. Terry has influenced The Surgicalist Group’s growth with additional services, such as trauma, critical care, advanced wound care, and surgical consultation.  He is heavily involved in the surgicalist recruitment process, ensuring candidates are properly aligned with The Surgicalist Group’s vision to transform the way acute care surgery is practiced by ensuring every patient entrusted to our Surgicalists receives the right care at the right time by living the organization’s core values: innovation, stewardship, compassion, and quality.

David Terry, D.O., is board certified in both general and peripheral vascular surgery through the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. Dr. Terry was named Surgical Resident Educator of the Year during his residency at Michigan State University’s Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center (now McLaren Macomb). He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association. International studies include infectious disease analysis in Malawi, Africa and agriculture and natural resources in Mexico.
