Our CEO and Founder, Mit Desai, MD started a new communication channel for our colleagues, stepping up communications with a cadence that helps our colleagues across five states and 35 hospitals hear directly from our leaders how our organization is navigating during the COVID-19 crisis. As a highly distributed organization we understand how critical communications are and the need to amplify our outreach. Here’s a bird’s eye view of the communications Dr. Desai shared with our teams.
I hope this message finds you well. As the progression of the pandemic accelerates, the health, safety, and well-being of each of our colleagues is of the utmost importance to ensure we can continue to provide outstanding services in the communities we serve. The majority of our colleagues are surgeons and advanced practice providers who are continuing to provide patient care in all of our hospitals. Thank you for being on the frontline and caring for patients.
To best support our Surgicalists in the field, we are now phasing some of our back-office colleagues to a telework scenario. We continue to monitor each of our locations and will implement appropriate procedures as needed. Currently, every practice is following deep-cleaning, telehealth, and patient screening protocols to minimize the risk of exposing our patients and clinical teams to the COVID-19 virus. I commend the efforts of those who are figuring out new ways to continue to support our clinical teams in this situation. We are an organization with ingenuity, resilience and grit. Although this is not ideal, each of our team members are dedicated to doing what is best to keep themselves, their colleagues, their patients, and their families safe and healthy. We will all get through these challenging times and be even stronger as we forge ahead!
At this point, the best thing we can all do is to remain informed and continue to practice excellent handwashing hygiene and social distancing, as recommended by the CDC. As a reminder, please be thoughtful about how you can avoid being a vector of this virus to others, as well.
